Jeraldine “Jerry” Greeley

FLORENCE, Wis. — Jeraldine “Jerry” (nee Crowley) Greeley, 91, of Florence, Wis., was called by the Lord to her heavenly home on Friday, Aug.14. 2020.

She was born April 1, 1929, in Chicago, along with her twin brother. Jerry was the daughter of the late John L. and Imelda (McGovern) Crowley. Jerry grew up in Milwaukee and was a graduate of St. John’s Cathedral High School in Milwaukee, class of 1947.

On Nov. 12, 1949, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Milwaukee, she was united in marriage to Robert D. Greeley. They were happily married 53 years before Robert preceded in 2002. Jerry followed her husband Robert in his career, always making a loving home for their family. They resided in White Fish Bay, Wis., Neenah, Wis., Green Bay, Wis., Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and finally in Florence, Wis.

Jerry was committed to her family, always loving and caring for them. She was proud of her husband and children. Jerry was a devoted Catholic and was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence, and was very proud to be 100 percent Irish.

She enjoyed many hobbies, including crocheting, knitting, golfing, reading, and was a very talented artist.

Jerry will be truly missed by her one son, Jay Robert (Bonnie) Greeley of Leesburg, Va.; three daughters, Kathleen (Bert) Kinyon of Mountain, Wis., Susan (Brad) Yocum of Alamo, Texas and Florence, Wis., and Mary (Bob) Hansen of Three Lakes, Wis.; loving grandmother of nine grandchildren, Jay Jr. (Karen) Greeley, John (Joy) Greeley, Eric (Liz) Greeley, Lindasue Alvarez, Brent (Amanda) Thompson, Regina Yocum, Teresa (Tom) Sprenger, Bob (Deni) Klingforth, and Shawn (Natalie) Klingforth; 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Audrey Greeley; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Robert, Jerry was preceded in death by her twin brother, Jack; and three sisters, Alice Swearingen, Mary K. Hittman and Mary I. Ellis.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother will be forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Florence, Wis. A Memorial Mass will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Fr. Timothy Brandt will officiate.

Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery in Florence, Wis.

Due to COVID19 the graveside service will be private and no funeral luncheon will take place. We ask that you please keep social distancing protocol in mind. Masks are required in church.
