KINGSFORD — Carol (Bouche) Ottlinger, loving wife and mother, went to meet our lord on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020.

Carol was born in Kingsford, on Dec. 10, 1932, the daughter of Pacific and Gladys (Paige) Bouche. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1950.

Carol’s great accomplishments were serving the Red Cross of 22 years and achieving her black belt in karate. Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very outstanding waitress, working for many restaurants, including the G & G, Kingsway, and The Stables. She also sang for the Immanuel Baptist Church for many years. Carol had many hobbies including sewing, crocheting, computers, yard work, playing the guitar, key board, harmonica and writing music, but her greatest passion was always singing and writing poetry.

Carol will be greatly missed by many people. She is survived by her children, Linae (Fran) Rittenhouse, Kim (Jeff) Wierikko Goetsch and Rallund Ottlinger; grandchildren, Joshua Chodack, Danielle Wierikko (Tim), Paige Wierikko (Christian), Hayley Dobas, Kevin Ottlinger, Keith Ottlinger, Desiree (Leuis) Molina and Wendy Shene; great-grandchildren, Joshua Chodack, Eli Chodack, Layne Taylor, Ansa McCrory, Chris Fonseca and Rosie Molina; a brother, Robert (Deborah) Bouche; a sister, Linda Hayman; and Wynter Molina, Saya Molina, Luna Molina.

Along with her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Martin Ottlinger; two sons, Kenneth (Joleen) Ottlinger and Michel (Wanda) Ottlinger; a grandchild, Jennifer Ottlinger; a brother, Rolland (Loretta) Bouche; and six sisters, Connie (William) Zimmerman, Arlene (Jack) Deau, Helen Basso, Gladis

(Jim) Vaughan, Doris (Glen) Gauthier, and Percilla Barker.

The family would like to thank Loren (Jenny) Hayman for being her long time caregiver and companion, the Iron County Medical Facility in Crystal Falls, “Willow East” and the administration.

There will be a small graveside service for family and friends at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Quinnesec Cemetery.
