Charles I. Edwards

He was born Sept. 20, 1950, in Belvedere, Ill., son of the late Irvin and Laverne (Hill) Edwards. Chuck proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later served in the U.S. National Guard.

He married Christine Sharkey on November 22, 1996, in Iron Mountain. Following marriage, they resided in Aurora. Christine preceeded him in death on Dec. 18, 2014. Chuck worked for U.P. Office Furnishings for many years as an installation manager of which he became very proficient at.

Chuck made numerous friends wherever he went over the years and he will be missed by all of those friends. He cherished his family and grandkids.

Chuck is survived by one son, Chuck Edwards Jr.; one niece, Amy Kleminski of Chicago; one nephew, James David of Beaver Dam, Wis.; and one brother-in-law, Gerald Bartholomew of Iron Mountain; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Christine, Chuck was preceded in death by one son, Chad Edwards; one daughter, Karrie Edwards; and one sister, Connie Bartholomew.

A visitation and a celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Date and time will be announced in the near future.
