Kenneth J. McMahon

Kenneth was born June 9, 1935, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Patrick and Jeanette (Cousineau) McMahon. He was a Kingsford High School graduate and a lifelong resident of the area.

On Oct. 16, 1954, Kenneth married Leona Loper at American Martyrs Catholic Church. The two shared 56 years of marriage until her death in 2010.

Like most men in the U.P., Kenneth enjoyed being at camp, enjoying the outdoors and having a few beers. He enjoyed spending his weekends playing his accordion and keyboard in the band he was in.

Left to cherish his memory are his grandson, Joshua (Suzanne) McMahon; daughter-in-law, Suzanne McMahon; four great-grandchildren, Riley, Dylan, Payton and Cooper; one sister, Linda (Dick) Maule; one brother, Wayne (Caroline) McMahon as well as several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Kenneth was preceded in death by his only son, Patrick.
