AURORA, Wis. — Deloris “Dee” A. Weber, 97, of Aurora, Wis., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, at Florence Health Services in Florence, Wis.

Deloris was born Dec. 1, 1922, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Bert and Mary (Carollo) Pozza. She was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Kingsford High School. Deloris married George Weber on June 10, 1943, and they enjoyed 63 years of marriage together. George preceded her in death in 2006.

Deloris was a life-long member of the Sacred Heart Church in Aurora and a member of the Christian Mother’s. She sang in the church choir and served countless funeral luncheons over the years. Deloris loved to knit and crochet, and she taught ceramics in the basement of her home for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Kay (Jack) Wedin of Iron Mountain, Mary Van Remoortere Raketich (Dave) and Rose Schneider (Gary), both of Kingsford; a sister, Nora Hanson of Iron Mountain; her 8 grandchildren, Kevin Wedin, Kirt Wedin (Charmaine), Bobbie (Steve) Povolo, Toni (Joe) Scarp, Kevin (Karen) Raketich, Michael (Amy) Raketich, Eric Schneider (Brooke) and Amanda Schneider; 13 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, with Fr. Michael Lightner officiating. The family requests that masks be worn. Burial will be in the Homestead-Aurora Cemetery.
