PEMBINE, Wis. — Edwin F. “Ed” Fruehe, 84, formerly of Pembine, Wis. passed away on his birthday Nov. 25, 2020, at Lake Shore Assisted Living in Lake Tomahawk, Wis.

Ed was born Nov. 25, 1936 in Evanston, Ill., son of the late Arnold and Maime (Mattison) Fruehe.

Ed served his country honorably in the Air Force from 1957 until 1960 and earned a Good Conduct Medal.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Becky (Joe) Blaser; two grandchildren, Morgan and Joey; his brother and sister, Ronald (Christine) Fruehe and Sandra (Donald) Janisch; and further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie; son, Scott; sister, Selene (Patrick) Mickelson; and brother, Gilbert Fruehe.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a visitation on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Roubal Funeral Home from 10 until 10:45 a.m.

Committal service will be held at 11 a.m. in the Pembine Cemetery with Pastor Gene Wickman officiating. Full military honors will be provided by Pembine American Legion Post 461.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff at Ascension Hospice who kindly cared for Ed with compassion and sincerity.
