Stuart D. Harris

He was born Jan. 18, 1935, in Iron Mountain, the son of the late William R. and Dorothy M. (Bross) Harris.

Stuart was a 1953 graduate of Kingsford High School. He was employed by Ford Motor Co. in Cleveland. He was owner/operator of Stu’s Barber Shop of Connellsville for 45 years.

In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and carving figures from specialty woods. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Specialist 4.

He leaves his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Joan “Connie” Yakimick Harris of Connellsville; his daughter, Andria Saylor of Connellsville; his two grandsons, Taylor and Eric, also of Connellsville; and his sister, Iris (Doug) Machus of Kingsford.

With Stuart’s wishes, there will be no service. His cremation has been entrusted to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, 417 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Pa.
