Tyler M. Bauer

Tyler was born in Iron Mountain on March 3, 1998, to Jeff Bauer and Kristal Kusmitch. He was a lifelong resident of the Iron Mountain/Kingsford area and graduated from Kingsford High School with the class of 2016.

Tyler, also known as Dj Baupoww, Kitty, Bauer, and Tiller, had a contagious smile and laughter that all who knew him will never forget. He had a way of making someone’s darkest days brighter, just by being who he was.

He was the best big brother, son, and friend a person could have and was known to say, “Life is short, live a little” when it came to making decisions in everyday life. He had a zest for life that all could see. He enjoyed spending time with all his friends, who felt more like brothers to him.

While growing up he loved spending time in Hardwood with his grandparents and going on semi rides with his dad. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, along with Sunday dinners. Tyler also loved spending his days with his girlfriend, Sara. He also enjoyed spending time with his Great Dane, Willow. Some people say dogs are a man’s best friend, but to Tyler, Willow was so much more than that. He also enjoyed his other pets including Ziggy, his bearded dragon, and his cats.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jeff (Brenda) Bauer and Kristal (Butch) Kusmitch; sister, Haliauna Kusmitch; brother, Gage Kusmitch; step-brother, Derek Collins; half siblings, Sam and Emma; grandparents, Robert and Randi Kusmitch; girlfriend, Sara; many special aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention all by name.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Robert Bauer; grandfather, Donald Cowling; great-grandparents, Hannah and Joseph Bauer; and an uncle, Donald Bauer.

Services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Foster City Cemetery where he will be laid to rest by his grandparents.
