KINGSFORD — Mary Ann Campbell, 91, of Kingsford passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, at Evergreen Assisted Living in Kingsford.
Mary Ann was born Sept. 22, 1929, in Hermansville, the daughter of Angelo and Mary (Rossettini) Arduin and graduated from Hermansville High School in 1947. On Dec. 27, 1950, she married Russell “Jack” Campbell in Hermansville, and together they raised four children.
She worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal service in Vulcan, Norway, Iron Mountain and Kingsford Post Offices for 21 years before retiring. In retirement the couple spent 27 winters in Austin, Texas, where they made numerous, long lasting friendships. Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Elizabeth “Dea”) Campbell of Vulcan, Mary (John) Fox of Aurora, Wis., Mark (Katie) Campbell of New Franken, Wis. and Ann (Andrew) Douglas of Round Lake Beach, Ill.; grandchildren, James (Michele) Campbell, Patrick (Allison) Campbell, Paul (Pangkong) Fox, John (Sara Knutson) Fox, Ben (Jackie Johnson) Campbell, Eva (Kameron) Cerroni, Clair Campbell, Keith Campbell, Brian (Caitlyn) Campbell, Matt (Amanda Wilkins) Douglas and Jessie (Ben Thackston) Douglas; great-grandchildren, Fischer, Sawyer and Harper Campbell, Gabriel and Alex Fox, Jack Fox, Evette and Joelle Campbell and Sasha Cerroni; two brothers-in-law, Robert Campbell of L’Anse, and Raymond (Elizabeth) Campbell of Maricopa, Ariz.; several nieces, nephews and a very special friend, Bishop Daniel Garcia of Monterey, Calif.
Along with her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years, Jack; an infant son, Bruce Russell; eight siblings, Theresa (William) Whitens, Agnes (Bernard) Younk, John (Mary) Arduin, Eugene (Mildred) Arduin, Emily (Stanley) Driedric, Ann (Harley) Tuschhoff, Angelo Arduin, a baby brother, Angelo; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Campbell.
Private services are being held. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Norway Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mary Ann’s memory to the school of the donor’s choice.
The family would like to thank the staff members of Evergreen Assisted Living for their loving and compassionate care of Mary Ann.
