Patrick P. Coan

Patrick was born March 30, 1949 in Escanaba, son of the late George and Melba (Huddleson) Coan. He graduated from Escanaba High School in 1967 and attended Bay de Noc College for one year. Patrick was a veteran of the United States Army.

He married Ivy Carlson on May 26, 1976 in Escanaba. Patrick was employed at U.P. Office Supply as a salesman for over 20 years. He then purchased a semi truck and was a self employed long haul truck driver for several years.

Patrick enjoyed cooking, mowing the lawn, riding his motorcycle, and fixing and remodeling things around the house.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ivy; a son, Andy (Angela) Coan of Kingsford; two granddaughters, Drew and Brookelyn; and a brother, John (Sybil) Woodruff of Waterton, Wis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Coan.

At Patrick’s request, private family services will be held.
