Robert G. Weaver

He served in the Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa. He was a mechanic and worked on the planes. When he returned he met and married Marcelle Capra on Oct. 22, 1955. Together they raised two children in the Milwaukee/Waukesha area in Wisconsin.

Robert worked many years at Wisconsin Electric as a lineman until his retirement when they moved back to Iron Mountain. He was an avid golfer and loved fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his son, Gary (Laurie) Weaver and daughter, JoAnn (David Schwartz) Weaver; grandchildren, Ryan (Sheri) Weaver, Eric (Lisa) Weaver, Mathew (Sara) Weaver; eight great-grandchildren, Sean, Chloe, Ella, Jonah, Marshal, Lawson, Tessa, and Joseph Weaver; and dear friend and companion, Adele; brother, Floyd (Unabelle) Weaver; nephews, Harlin and Richard Weaver; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelle; parents, Elgin and Evangeline; and brother, Doug Weaver.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, at First Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain followed by a service at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor Bryan Laurila. Burial will be held at Dickinson County Memorial Gardens at a later date.
