Arthur R. Baacke Sr.

Arthur was born Oct. 3, 1943, son of the late Rudolph and Frances (Baribeau) Baacke in Chicago. He worked for Bob’s mobile homes, Electro Motive, and was “Bones” for Subway. He married Patricia Sergo Roth on Sept. 6, 1980, and the two recently celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Art loved his wife dearly; he also loved fishing, hunting, playing on his Ham Radio, trains, and being on the computer.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia Baacke; five children, Art Baacke Jr., Kenny (Toni) Baacke Sr., Steven Baacke, Annie (Greg) Parker, and Patti; grandchildren Sarah (Josh), Kenny Baacke Jr., Tommy (Tori), Johnny and Jeffery; great-grandchildren Carson, Vanna, Eva, Jace and Jax; sister Susan(Rudy) Mashak; sisters-in-law Rita and Margie; nieces Star (Kent) Martin, Melody (Kurt) Caylor, Angela (Matt) Klumb, Andrea (Jay) Lassila; and nephew Brett (Patti) Ebertsch.

In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his son, John; daughters Thersa and Michele; sister and brother-in-law, Deanna and John Ebertsch; and nephew Jon “Josh” Ebertsch.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Randville Hall.
