HAMILTON LAKES — Barbara Ann VanDenEeden, 83, of Hamilton Lakes, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.
She was born on Dec. 20, 1937, in Escanaba, the daughter of the late Donald and Madalien (Demoure) Boyce.
Barbara graduated from Holy Spirit High School in 1956. She went on to receive her bachelor degree in nursing at St. Catherine College in 1960.
She married Joseph VanDenEeden on July 3, 1965, in Chicago.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph; daughters Ann (Bill) Lerch of Bozman, Mont. and Denise (John) Cortesi of Liberty, Ill.; grandchildren, Everett, Madalien, and Kaitlin Cortesi and Charlie VanDenEeden; sister, Jean Johnson of Virginia; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Boyce.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, July 29, at 11 a.m. at the church with Fr. Martin Flynn officiating.
Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery.
