Bill was born in Chicago, and resided in the Chicago area for most of his life. For five years Bill enjoyed residing at Victorian Pines Estates in Iron Mountain until recently moving to Maryhill. He served in the U.S. Army in Japan during the Korean War and worked hard to support his family as a machinist all his life.

Bill is survived by daughters, Ann (Joe) Hruska and Carol (Dan) Bauer; son, Richard (Bon) Fagan; grandchildren, Claire (Jeff) Jarry, Dawn (Jeremy) Caruso, Glen (Amanda) Hruska, Rose (John) Carson, Eric (Natalia) Fagan, Michael Fagan, Michael (Sara) Bauer, and Maggie Bauer; great grandchildren, Levi, Jonah, Sammy, Jordon, Raina, Freddie, Lou and Jimmy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Fagan and son, Dr. David (Mary) Fagan.

He was known for his thankfulness: in the tradition of Bill, his family sincerely thanks all those at Victorian Pines, Maryhill, DCHS, American Martyrs and beyond. Your care for him is truly, deeply appreciated and you blessed his life by praying with him and for him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 22 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Kingsford Funeral Home.
