William Patrick Nelson

Bill was born on Feb. 19, 1970, in Munising, to Bill and Betty Nelson, one of two children. He graduated from Florence High School in 1988. He then worked for Pride Manufacturing and M.J. Electric. He then went on to own his own business, Current Electric, for several years.

He continued on to working for Bechtel Industries. After traveling around the country for work, he settled in California and more recently New Orleans, where he ended his career working for Flour Industries.

Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, Elizabeth Bock; stepfather, Al Bock; and stepmother, Janice Nelson.

Bill is survived by his father, William Nelson of Escanaba; his wife, Jeanette and stepchildren, D.J. and Megan of California; daughter, Samantha Andreopulus of North Carolina and daughter, Sarah Recla of Iron Mountain; sister, Rena (Rod) Arnhoelter of Florence; stepsister, Mary (Bill) Belen of Munising, stepsister, Laurelle (Doug) Woller of Shingelton; stepbrother, David (Tina) Nelson of Bronson, Mich.

He leaves behind the joys of his life, Adalynn, Amelia, Jaxon, Dylaney and Wayne; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, beloved and cared for deeply.

In Bill’s free time he loved being out on his boat and riding his Harley with his extended family, “The Banded Brothers.”

The family is holding a celebration of Bill’s life from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, at the C & R Bar in Aurora, Wis.
