Elizabeth ‘Betty’ K. Veeser

POWERS — Elizabeth “Betty” K. Veeser, 87, of Powers, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers.

She was born on Sept. 11, 1934, in Faithorn, daughter of the late John and Katherine (Nechodum) Pivonka. On Sept. 17, 1955, she married the late Elmer Veeser in Faithorn.

Betty loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She also greatly loved her job working with all the kids in the schools.

She is survived by her son, Kim (Elaine) Veeser; three grandsons, Jason (Trisha) Veeser, Matt (Jessie) Veeser and Brian Veeser; five great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Mary Hanna and Rose Sicora.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Central time on Tuesday, May 3, at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding with the St. Anne’s Rosary at 1:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 on Tuesday at church with Fr. Benny Mathew officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall. Burial will take place in the Spalding Township Cemetery.
