Dr. Bruce B. Franks, D.C.

A memorial service for Dr. Bruce B. Franks, D.C. is planned for Thursday, May 26, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Norway. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., with the service following at 2 p.m. Pastor James Danielson will officiate.

Final disposition of remains will be accomplished privately by the family at a later date.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in the name of Dr. Bruce B. Franks be made to the Palmer Michigan Endowed Scholarship Fund of the Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Dr. Franks practiced chiropractic in the Iron Mountain-Kingsford area for 55 years, before fully retiring in 2015. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Sharon Kay; son, Mark (Barbara) Franks; daughters, Christine (Adam) Kruppstadt, and their sons, Derek (Brinn) Kruppstadt, Evan Kruppstadt (Lily Chapman), and Kyle Kruppstadt; Lynette (Dr. Warrell) Swan, and their daughters, Tayla (Tyler) Hearn, Shelby Swan, Nikki Swan (Nathan Murphy); and Jennifer Franks (Juan Jauregui), and her sons, Riley (Emily) Mitchell, and Rory Mitchell.

He was also thrilled to be great-grandfather to Willa Mae Hearn, to Javado and Jade Swan, and to Luna Murphy. Dr. Franks is also survived by brothers, Dr. Terry (Carol) Franks and Corey Franks (Linnea Perreault).
