Wanda L. Oman

Wanda was born Aug. 8, 1955, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Edwin and Lucille (Dixon) Oman. She graduated from North Dickinson High School in 1973 and lived in the area most of her life.

Wanda was employed at Florence Villa and ManorCare as a nurse’s aide for several years. In her retirement, she was a caregiver for her brothers, Bob and Scott. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Metropolitan. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Wanda is survived by two sons, Brandon Michaud of Kingsford and Daniel (Courtney) Michaud of Chicago; two brothers, Ron and Robert “Bob” Oman, both of Felch; two grandsons, Cooper and Myles Michaud; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Gust Stephan; and siblings, Scott Oman, James Oman, Shirley Skogman, Carol Aichner and Barbara Dario.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 20 at Zion Lutheran Church in Metropolitan. A memorial service will follow at noon at the church. Pastor Matt Ruesch will officiate.
