Francis ‘Frank’ S. Weaver
AURORA, Wis. — Francis “Frank” S. Weaver, 78, of Aurora, Wis., passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, peacefully at his home, surrounded by love.
Frank was born on April 23, 1944, in Fountain Hill, Pa. to Franklin and Agnes (Porubec) Weaver. He was the second oldest of four children, with siblings, Rosemary (Weaver) Gubish, Paul Weaver, and Peter Weaver.
In 1978, Frank married Kay Sternhagen. The two shared a daughter, Tori. Sadly, Kay passed away in 2011.
Frank was very proud to have served and protected our country in the United States Navy for 21 years, and was proud to be a retired veteran.
In 2014, Frank married Alice Hodgins. The couple enjoyed life together and he loved her immensely until his passing.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Alice; children, Tori Weaver, Sandy (Steve) Moore, Eddie Paul Millan II, Dickie (Val) Burby and Jenny Maley; grandchildren, Jarrod Millan, Beau Millan, Brett Millan, Cole Chitko, Amber (Chris) Nelson, Austin Burby, Aubree Burby, Hannah Rush and Caden Rush; as well as several nieces and nephews, family and friends. He was also survived by his special “bonus” family, Linda Sternhagen, Donald Schneider, Paul Taff, David Taff, Carol Nelson and their families.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay; and sister, Rosemary.
Frank was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend. He was loved and he loved fiercely. He will always be remembered and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Frank’s memory.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 30, at Zion Lutheran Church in Metropolitan with a memorial service to follow at noon. Rev. Lee Liverance will officiate.
The Felch/Breen VFW Post 4803 will conduct military honors following the memorial service.
