Linda J. Lynch

POWERS — Linda J. Lynch, 75, of Powers, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at home, with her family by her side.

She was born on June 25, 1947, in Newberry, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Nolde) Kirschner. Linda grew up in Powers, and graduated from North Central Area High School in 1965.

Following high school, she attended dental school in Chicago, graduated, and worked as a dental assistant at Great Northern Dental in Escanaba, until she retired.

On Nov. 11, 1967, she married Peter Lynch of Carney, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2007.

She loved to travel and go adventuring, and spent her winter months in sunny Marco Island, Fla. with her many “snowbird” friends, whom she loved. In the summer, she enjoyed keeping her flower gardens and yard looking beautiful.

She was an avid music lover, especially bluegrass, and hosted many “jam” sessions at her home in which she played the dobro steel guitar. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and especially her two grandchildren, whom she adored.

Linda is survived by her two children, Michael Lynch of Carney, and Peter (Kristi) Lynch of Dubuque, Iowa; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Gwen Lynch; two sisters, Joanne Labelle and Carlyn (Jim) Lynch; two brothers, Ken (Pam) Kirschner and Joseph Kirschner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Keith Kirschner; sister, Marilyn Kliekamp; brother-in-law, Bill Kliekamp; sister-in-law, Terri Kirschner; brother-in-law, Ron Labelle; nephew, Christian Arthur Lynch; and by her fellow adventurer and companion, Mike (Bucky) Buckeridge.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 22, at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at church with Fr. Benny Mathew officiating.

Burial will follow services in the Nadeau Township Cemetery. A gathering will then be held at the Lynch home in Powers.
