Mike Micensky

Mike was born on June 28, 1936, to Harry and Hulda Micensky. He graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1954.

He had wonderful memories of his youth and his friends in Iron Mountain. He joined the Coast Guard in 1959. In 1964 he left the Coast Guard and moved to Arizona where he spent the remainder of his life.

Mike loved to be with family and friends, to camp, to hike and to be outdoors. On May 20, 1989, Mike married Debbie. They became a family along with Debbie’s two children, Tanya and Luie.

When Mike retired after more that 30 years working in the area of sales tax he and Debbie built a little cabin in the woods where they spent most of their time off until his stroke in 2013. Mike loved to tell stories, he had a great laugh and sense of humor.

He was survived by his wife, Debbie; two step-children, Tanya and son-in-law Steve, Luie and daughter-in-law Shannon; his son, Mark and partner Belinda; and grandchildren, Delaney, Jeremy, Ashley, Jake and Asher.

Mike was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry, Robert and Gordon; his sisters, Beverly and Florence; his son, Brian and his grandson, Cody.
