Jeffrey A. Buchanan

Jeffrey was born on Jan. 4, 1952, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Alex and Corrine (Dufresne) Buchanan. He was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Niagara High School with the class of 1970.

Jeffrey served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a proud member of the Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50. He enjoyed woodworking and was an excellent carpenter, spending most of his career in the construction industry.

Jeffrey is survived by his significant other of 22 years, Georgene Senecal; two children, Jared (Jennifer Geneva) Buchanan and Ashlee Buchanan, both of Iron Mountain; a brother, John (Peggy) Buchanan of Niagara, Wis.; a sister, Christine Moss of Medford, Wis.; as well as other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Country Bar in Niagara from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff’s memory may be directed to the family.
