Wallace Robert “Wally” Beaudoin
IRON MOUNTAIN — Wallace Robert “Wally” Beaudoin, 91, of Iron Mountain passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at UP Health System in Marquette.
He was born in Iron Mountain on Feb. 18, 1931, to the late Louis and Elsie (Julian) Beaudoin.
Wally was an honorable and proud Marine who served his country on the front lines of the Korean War.
On Sept. 17, 1955, he married the former Betty Cerasoli at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; they were just shy of 67 years together.
He worked for 30 years in the trucking and delivery industry, and retired from CW Transport.
He had a knack for mechanical things and spent many hours fixing boat motors, snowmobiles, lawn mowers and more.
Wally was an avid fisherman. Trapper, and hunter, he was a man of adventures and loved to share his stories.
Wally spent his retirement out at the camp, living the dream, in the log cabin he always wanted, in the woods.
Wally will be greatly missed by his wife, Betty; children, David (Tina) Beaudoin and Susan Edwards, and the father of her children, Dan; grandchildren, Michelle, David (Stephanie), Jacquelyn (Anthony), Robert (Ashley) and Allison (Nick); great-grandchildren, Alec, Austin, Aubryna and Jack; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe (Fran), Ray (Karen), Fred, Carol (Ted) and Mary (Joe); and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Wally is preceded in death by a brother, Gene (Ann) Beaudoin and a sister-in-law, Helen (Herb) Daniels.
The funeral Mass will start at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church, 411 West B St. in Iron Mountain, with Fr. Janusz Romanek officiating.
Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
