IRON MOUNTAIN — Sherry Lynn Lindlbauer, 74, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center Dickinson in Iron Mountain.

Sherry, the oldest child of the late Oliver and Catherine Hannula, was born in Iron Mountain and raised in Florence, Wis. She graduated from Florence High School, Class of 1966.

Sherry married the love of her life, Ronald Lindlbauer, on Dec. 5, 1986 in Tyler, Texas; he preceded her in death in July of 2020. She worked as a nursing assistant, a licensed practical nurse, and retired as a registered nurse from Maryhill Manor in Niagara.

Sherry enjoyed crocheting, baking, and watching reruns of “Gunsmoke” and John Wayne movies. She also enjoyed playing cribbage and bingo with friends and family, but most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren; her favorite hobby was spoiling her “babies.”

Sherry is survived by two sons, Henry (Sheri) Mann and Erich Lindlbauer, both of Iron Mountain; four brothers, Steve (Diane) Hannula of Tennessee, Bradley Hannula of Norway, Brian Hannula of Oregon, and Gordon (Mary) Hannula of Iron River; two sisters, Gail (Frank) O’Neal of Pensacola, Fla. and Donna Hannula of Texas; grandchildren, Andrew (MacKenzie Schwamlien), Alexis, Brooklyn and Madison Mann and Abby and Derich Lindlbauer; also by several nieces and nephews; a great-niece, Joanna; and a brother-in-law, Ron Rochon.

Along with her parents and husband, Sherry was preceded in death by a grandson, Erich Lindlbauer Jr., and a sister, Della Rochon.

Visitation will be on Oct. 17 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Erickson Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Matthew Ruesch will officiate. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
