Robert P. Oman

Bob was born March 12, 1953, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Edwin and Lucille (Dixon) Oman. He attended Felch High School and later in life received his diploma.

Bob worked for Ford Motor Company in Detroit. He then moved back to Felch where he was employed in logging operations in the area and also worked for Energy Erectors of Leesburg, Fla.

Bob was an avid brook trout fisherman. One year he had caught 100 brook trout before season, word of this got out, and the following year he was arrested for fishing before the season opener. He also enjoyed gardening and custom lawn mowing.

Bob is survived by one son, Darin Oman of Fredericksburg, Va.; a brother, Ron Oman of Felch; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Paul Jr.; and siblings, Shirley Skogman, Carol Aichner, Barbara Dario, Wanda Oman, James Oman, and Scott Douglas Oman.

There will be no services at this time. In the spring a memorial service for Bob and other siblings will be held. 

The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements.
