Dani ‘Dan’ J. Fazer
POWERS — Dani “Dan” J. Fazer, 51, a lifelong resident of Powers, passed away on Jan. 27, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit following a lengthy illness.
He was born on June 27, 1971, in Menominee, son of the late Louis and Nancy (St. John) Fazer.
Dan enjoyed life and loved spending time with his dog: Dozer. He worked at his parents’ grocery store and worked various jobs throughout his life. An entrepreneur at heart, Dan also founded his own companies, Fazer Forest Products and Fuzzy’s Lawncare & Snowplowing.
He also loved spending time with friends — sharing laughs at camp, hunting, four wheeling, snowmobiling, traveling, and other activities. Dan appreciated sincere family and friends who he could trust and confide in, and shared a special relationship with his mother: Nancy.
Dan is survived by brothers, Dave (Jane) Fazer of Clintonville Wis., Doug Fazer of Spalding; a sister, Patti (Tom) Simons of Naperville, Ill.; aunt, Marilyn Fazer of Powers; uncle, Mike (Marilyn) Poupore of Spalding; aunt, Susan (Ben) Brierley of Crescent City, Fla.; uncle, Terry (Marilyn) St. John of Suamico, Wis. as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his loving and caring mother, Nancy. Nancy passed away only a few weeks prior to Dan’s passing and his father, Louis passed away 30 years ago. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Fazer; and grandparents, Earl Sr., (who gave Dan a lot of happiness & memories) and Gladys St. John; along with several uncles and aunts.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Central time on Tuesday Feb. 28, at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at church with Fr. Benny Mathew officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall. Burial will take place in the Spalding Township Cemetery in the spring.
