Gloria M. Brault
NIAGARA, Wis. — Gloria M. Brault, 90, of Niagara, Wis., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center Dickinson in Iron Mountain.
Gloria was born on June 26, 1932, in Upper Pine Creek to the late Fred and Ida (Norgren) Furno. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1950 and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Gloria married Ronald “Hubba’ Brault on Jan. 2, 1954, and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage until Ronald passed away in 2021. Gloria was a long-time, faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara where she helped with funeral luncheons. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and canning. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Our mother was truly the angel of the family, filled with the most goodness and love. Mom was very organized, hard working and wise beyond her years. She honestly was the peacemaker of a family of nine. Mom was also very spiritual, reading the bible for two hours a day. She had a great sense of humor to the point that she’d laugh so hard she’d cry. Heaven definitely received a great angel.
Gloria is survived by her daughters, Linda (Dave) O’Lesky of Crystal Falls, Diane (Robin) Rugg of Niagara, Wis., Marie (Steve) Wied of Green Bay, Wis., and Rhonda Brault (Rick Hood) of Iron Mountain; her sons, Daniel (Cari) Brault of Norway, Randy Brault (Marcia Crosson) of Kingsford and Jason (Sheri) Brault of Sun Prairie, Wis; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by brothers, Elroy Furno and Elmer “Lub” Furno and sisters, Lorraine Barker and Carol Stuart.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara.
The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Quentin Mann will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Niagara Cemetery.
