Dennis Neuens

Dennis was born on May 23, 1948, in Iron Mountain, son of Joseph and Mary Jane (Hughes) Neuens. He graduated from Florence High School in 1966 and worked as a millwright for United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Joiners, and Millwrights of America, Local 1046.

On Oct. 22, 1993, he married the love of his life, Sandy; she preceded him in death on Aug. 23, 2022.

As a young dad, Dennis was involved in Boy Scouts as an assistant leader, as well as a baseball coach.

He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage, trips to the casino, and spending time with family and friends; he especially enjoyed attending his grandkids’ sporting events and graduations.

Dennis is survived by his two sons, Den (Shannon) Neuens and Ken (Susie) Neuens, both of Norway; two step-daughters, Candice Melotte and Angela (Dean) Lardnois; three brothers, Larry (Barb) Neuens, James (Pat) Neuens, and Eugene (Sally) Neuens; three sisters, Judy Kernan, Pat (Lloyd) Siebert, and Loni (Bill) Brown; special friends, Nate and Angie; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved to entertain with his stories.

He will be greatly missed by all of those who loved him.

Along with his parents and wife Sandy, Dennis is preceded in death by a brother, Michael Neuens and a granddaughter.
