Merideth Huska

She was born in Crystal Falls, on Oct. 17, 1942 to the late August and Marie (Haulotte) Huska.

She graduated from Crystal Falls High School, class of 1961. She then attended Northern Michigan College for one year, receiving her certificate of a one year business program on June 8, 1962. She returned to school to complete her Associates Degree in general studies from The College of DuPage, Ill. on June 4, 1984.

Merideth lived most of her life in the Chicago area. After her early retirement from Kodak, she was a teacher’s aide with Black Hawk School District for many years. She also volunteered for Marklund, assisting children with special needs in Bloomingdale, Ill. Merideth enjoyed travelling, spending time with her friends and flower gardening.

She is survived by her aunt, Pat Bjork as well as many cousins and dear friends. Preceding Merideth in death are her parents.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 412 Crystal Ave., Crystal Falls MI 49920, at 11 a.m., Friday, April 28. Family and friends may gather at the church from10 a.m. until the time of Mass, with the burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls.
