Leonore Strong

She was born on Dec. 20, 1956 in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late Vern and Betty Ann (Poff) Teafoe.

Lori graduated from Norway High School in 1975 and attended Northern Michigan University and Mount Senario College in Ladysmith, Wis.

In 1984, she joined the U.S. Air Force, where she received an abundance of honors and awards along with acquiring her surgical tech degree. Lori was honorably discharged in 1988. She married Michael Strong in 1986 in Sacramento, Calif.

Lori enjoyed gardening, puzzles, games and fishing. She was a huge animal lover and loved watching the deer, birds and rabbits from her home.

She loved going to her grandson’s sporting events and being surrounded by family and friends.

Her love and bond with her daughter could be seen, heard and felt by those around. Lori always had a smile on her face, was always laughing and very welcoming to anyone she crossed paths with.

Lori is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Adam) Chartier; grandson, Deven Chartier; and her brother, Todd (Heidi) Teafoe.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vern and Betty Ann Teafoe.

The family will hold a public celebration of life on July 22, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Long Branch in Faithorn.
