IRON MOUNTAIN -- Clifford Paul Wollum, 73, of Iron Mountain, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
Clifford was born Jan. 15, 1950, in Norway, to the late Clarence and Antoinette (Sophie) Wollum.
He was raised in Norway and graduated from Norway High School in 1968. After high school he enlisted with the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.
Clifford was honorably discharged in 1971 and moved back to Norway. In March 1973 he was hired at the Oscar G Johnson VA Medical Center as a police officer, retiring in 1987. From 1988 until 1998, he worked as a member of a local labor union. Clifford also worked for Fed Ex ground for a short time, and at the BP Gas Station in downtown Iron Mountain.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Clifford was a fan of all sports, but his favorites were football, baseball and hockey. Everyone will remember him for his hearty laugh and caring spirit.
Survivors include his brother, Scott (Donna) Wollum of Pipestone Minn.; sister, Jackie (Dennis) Moore of Watertown, Wis.; one niece; five nephews, and many cousins.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A Celebration of Life will follow at noon at the funeral home.
