Jon Allen Reynolds

Jon was born June 14, 1961, in Iron Mountain, son of William “Bill” and Janet (Betti) Reynolds. After graduating from Iron Mountain High School, Class of 1979, he went to work for the city of Iron Mountain as a welder, mechanic and light equipment operator. He worked for the city for the next 30-plus years, retiring in 2011. Jon married Ruth Bricker on Aug. 14, 1981.

Family and friends were very important to Jon. He was always the first one there to lend a helping hand, and every winter he snowplowed for his family, friends and their businesses. Jon enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, canoeing, gardening and canning Salsa, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time at his camp in Randville with his kids and grandchildren.

Jon is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Jon Reynolds Jr. and Rick (Lindy) Reynolds; his mother, Janet Reynolds; a sister, Jackie (Bruce) Rosen; a brother, Ron (Cindy) Reynolds; his mother-in-law, Kaye Bricker; eight grandchildren, Jayden, Mila, Alaina, Julieann, Karmia, Rick, Braelen and Ryker; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Reynolds; and his father-in-law, Ed Bricker.

Private family services will be held.
