GAASTRA -- Joyce Elaine Reinert, 85, of Gaastra, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital.
She was born on May 3, 1938, in Detroit, daughter of the late Gordon and Bernice (Sturdivant) Larman. She graduated from Clio High School.
Joyce volunteered at the Iron Mountain Breen Center for 12 years and spent many years volunteering for many veterans legion posts in both the Lower and Upper Peninsula.
Joyce enjoyed going for rides in the country. Her family was very important to her and always came first.
Joyce is survived by her two sons, Todd and Randy (May Lou) Reinert; three sisters, Judy Saneski, Susan (Bill) Janeski and Diane (Sam) Yarborough; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her son, Bradley; two brothers, Roger and John Larman; and one sister, Ruth Parson.
Graveside services will take place at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery at 11 a.m., Friday, June 9, with Mark Benjamin officiating.
