IRON MOUNTAIN — Marvin Brian Perdue, 64, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.

He was born on June 16, 1959, in Kingsford, son of the late Ernest and Lena (Sexton) Perdue. Marvin was a graduate of Kingsford High School, Class of 1977. Marvin lived for music. He was a talented guitarist and was thrilled at any gig or chance to perform. Most of all, Marvin loved time spent with his family and friends. It seems impossible to think of his kind, gentle and fun-loving personality without cracking a smile.

Marvin will be missed by his two children, Jeremy and Emily Perdue; their mother, Jeanne Castor; three grandchildren, Amelia, Caleb and Chase; three siblings, Lena Eldridge, Dallas Perdue and Linda Makela; his sweetheart, companion and soulmate, Gretchen Unrein; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Marvin is preceded in death by his son, Jason Perdue; and a brother, Lane Perdue.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Evangelical Covenant Church, 120 O’Dill Drive in Norway. Pastor Jim Danielson will officiate the funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Dickinson County Memorial Gardens.
