BREITUNG TOWNSHIP — Lucinda L. Kasten, 64, of Breitung Township, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.

Lucinda was born June 12, 1959, in Appleton, Wis., daughter of the late Eugene and LaVerne (Maes) Berger. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1977.

Lucinda lived in Loveland, Colo., from 1980 until 1994 and was employed at King Soopers grocery store during that time. After moving back to the area, she tended bar at Mayme’s in Iron Mountain as well as waitressing at Dina Mia’s in Florence, Wis., for many years.

Lucinda was a member of the American Legion Post 50 Ladies Auxiliary in Iron Mountain. She had an adventurous spirit and loved spending time on the water, fishing and tubing. She always looked forward to the annual Pine Mountain Ski Jumps. Family was her number one priority. Lucinda was so proud of her boys, Kenny and Cory, as well as her nephew, Michael. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and had many special memories with them, including Christmas tree decorating and playing “dress up.”

Lucinda is survived by a son, Cory Kasten (Cathy-Lee Carne) of Iron Mountain; a daughter-in-law, Natalie Kasten; a brother, Tony (Missy) Berger; four grandchildren, Haylee, Henry, Ella and Oliver Kasten; the father of her sons, Ken Kasten; a nephew, Michael (Bree) Stebbins; a cousin, Cindy (Cayo) Roberts; her best friends, Kathy, Kelly, Lynn, Tina, Barb and Amy Jo; and several extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth “Kenny” Kasten; a sister, Lynn (Dan) Weaver; and a brother, Terry Berger.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain, followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m.

Fr. Mark McQuesten will officiate.
