IRON RIVER — Lynn M. Burke, 65, of Iron River, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023.
She was born on Oct. 6, 1957, in Stambaugh, the daughter of the late Dante and Helen (Casagranda) Lombardini. She graduated from West Iron County High School with the class of 1975.
Lynn married Robert “Buddy” Burke on May 8, 1982, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. They celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary this year.
Her love for taking care of the elderly led her to pursue a career as a dietary manager and she spent more than 30 years working in healthcare. Lynn was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing Yahtzee, going to the casino, taking yearly trips to Las Vegas and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Buddy; son, Brad (Kerstyn) Burke of Iron River; daughters, Jessica (Adam) Olbrantz and Melissa Burke, both of Green Bay, Wis.; stepdaughters, Chevon (Jason) Atkinson and Kristyl (Johnathan) Harrison, both of West Jordon, Utah; brother, Duane (Jane) Lombardini of Iron River; sisters, Cheryl (Paul) Donati and Lori (fiance Dennis Bugler) Dobson, both of Iron River; grandchildren, Paisley Burke, Zoe Collins, and Skylar Burke; step-grandchildren, Shelbie Bullock, Kasie Bullock, Madysen Atkinson and Zayden Harrison; step-great-granddaughter, Kylie Asay; mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Burke of Eagle River, Wis.; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4 at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kraig Tass to officiate.
Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mortara and the Bellin Cancer Center Staff in Green Bay, Dr. Evans and the Cancer Team at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, and Aspirus Hospice for all they did for Lynn.
