Viola Helen Blazier
KINGSFORD — Viola Helen Blazier, 92, of Kingsford passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.
Viola was born Oct. 8, 1930, in Crystal Falls, daughter of the late Clifford and Agnes (Smith) Dishaw. She married Kenneth Blazier on Jan. 30, 1946, and was a supervisor at UMI/Xerox. She enjoyed going to the casino, being outdoors and taking long walks, and she loved animals, especially dogs and hummingbirds.
Viola is survived by her son, Craig (Karin) Blazier; her daughter, Sandra Chumney; three grandchildren, Brian (Kathy) Henes, Robert (Tina) Henes and Daniel (Brenda) Henes; six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; a special friend, Robert Nixon; one brother, George VanDusen; a sister, Mary; and a great-grandson, Dillon Henes.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A service will follow at 4 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
