Jonathan R. McCole

Jonathan was born on Jan. 24, 1988, in Iron Mountain to David and Roxanne (James) McCole. In 2006, he graduated from Kingsford High School where he loved playing hockey and baseball. Jonathan attended NWTC for a year and shortly after he took a position at CCI Systems. He worked at CCI Systems for 15 years and was a lead CATV design engineer, he really enjoyed his work and the friendships he made there.

When he wasn’t working, Jonathan could usually be found playing his guitar or watching sports, particularly the Packers and the Cubs. He was also a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles amassing an impressive set of collectibles. Jonathan will be lovingly remembered for his hard work ethic, fun-loving nature, and compassion for others.

Jonathan will be deeply missed by his parents, Dave and Roxanne; sisters Anjean McCole, Alisha (Tim) Mondloch, and Ashley McCole; nieces and nephews Hannah, Timothy, Nora, Luke, Kendra, and Kaylee; grandmother Betty McCole; uncles and aunts, Todd (Carole) James, Don McCole, Denise (Terry) Neymeiyer and Dean McCole; and many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald McCole, Carol Stachowicz and Irving James; his uncles, Rodney James and Timothy James; and aunt Nancy McCole.

Visitation will be at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, followed by a brief prayer service. Private graveside services will be held later in Channing Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Heart Association to increase awareness of sudden cardiac arrest at any age and continued educational programs.
