Karen Andrusco

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Karen Lee Andrusco, 78, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, at UW-Health Hospital in Madison,Wis. She was born on July 3, 1945, in Iron Mountain, to the late Robert and Violet (Wahlstrom) Krans. She graduated from Florence High School in 1963 and x-ray school in 1964. Karen began her career as an x-ray technician at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. She went on to earn a college degree along with numerous certifications and managed the Nuclear Medicine/Ultrasound department for Meriter Hospital in Madison until she retired in 2012.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Leah (Anthony) Allison and grandchildren, Graham, Sidney and Levi. She is also survived by her sisters, Marilyn (Jack) Watson, Loraine (Glenn) Larson, and Gayle (Ronald) Trible, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Audrey (Arvid) Carlson; and brothers-in-law, Jack, Arvid, Glenn and Ronald.
Karen was known for her dry sense of humor, love for her family and friends, and her beloved dog, Samie.
