Lillian R. Anderson

She was born Dec. 15, 1952, in Crystal Falls, daughter of the late David and Ruth (Combs) Claus.

Lillian was a resident of this area for most of her life and was a 1970 graduate of Forest Park High School. She married Ronald Anderson on Jan. 30, 1971.

Lillian worked in the dietary department of the Crystal Manor and the Iron County Medical Care Facility for a combined 36 years. Lillian enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, biking, kayaking, gardening, and DIY projects.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Ronald; two sons, Brian (Sarah Monteith) of Crystal Falls, James (Nicole Shindler) of Iron Mountain; five grandchildren, Ronald, Mary, and Jason of Crystal Falls. Samantha and Jacob of Iron Mountain; one great-granddaughter, Rayna; one brother, David (Deb) Claus; three sisters, Betty (Gerald) Anderson, Rose Claus and Sally Wiencek; nephew Brandon (Tisha) Groop; great-nephew, Spencer; all of Crystal Falls. Plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ruth Claus, and one brother, Michael Claus.

Lillian was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1991. Services will be held Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. at the Iron River, Michigan Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 175 Bates Amasa Road, with Dale Stromberg officiating. Memorials may be made in her memory.
