DULUTH, Minn. — Dagmar Joy (Stephens) Johnson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023.
She was born on May 11, l931, in Milwaukee, to Arthur and Dorothy Stephens. She married Robert W. Johnson on Oct. 13, l951.
Dagmar was very active in Baptist churches for many years as an organist, was involved in womens mission work and enjoyed singing in choir. She retired from Sears in 1982.
Her five children and their families provided her with great joy: Kris (Bruce) Carlson of Davenport, Fla., Karen (Terry) Kahlstorf of Brookston, Minn., Keith Johnson of Duluth, Minn., Kathy (Scott) Randby of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Kevin (Lindy) Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren: Sara (Dave) Malott of Davenport, Travis (Sheila) Kahlstorf of Esko, Minn., Aaron Carlson of Windermere, Fla., Wil (Melinda) Randby of North Pole, Alaska; Lora Randby of Anchorage, Alaska, Sara Hartman of North Pole, and Phillip of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren: Emily (Peter) Scoville-Moakes of Norwich, United Kingdom, Derrek, Mason and Jake Randby of North Pole, Baylee Jo and Zoey Hartman of North Pole, and Daran Tan and Tyler Kahlstorf of Esko.
Dagmar was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her brother, Arthur Stephens II; and her grandson, Nathan Milo Kahlstorf.
The family thanks the Benedictine Living Community for their genuine care and love provided over the last several years.
Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Cremation Society in Duluth, with services at 3 p.m. and a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating Gideons International.
