Marlene J. Towns
NIAGARA, Wis. — Marlene J. Towns, 84, of Niagara, passed away peacefully on Oct. 1, 2023, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara.
Marlene was born on Nov. 27, 1938, in Kingsford, to Clifford and Nellie (Ewer) Rose. She married the love of her life, Clyde Towns, on May 19, 1973, and together they raised eight children; he preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1995.
Marlene had a beautiful singing voice, which we were lucky enough to hear everyday at home when we were young. She was also known for her pasties, cinnamon rolls and her homemade bread. Marlene loved to gamble at the casino, play Yahtzee and go to garage sales. She had an undying love for her family and was there for us all.
Marlene leaves her daughters, Gayle (Steve) Chartier, Deana (Pete Snowaert) La Gest and Robin Sexton; her sons, Timothy (Tami) Sexton, Scott (Denise) Sexton, Darren Sexton, Warren (Carla) Towns and Kevin Towns; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband, Clyde, she is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia; a grandson, Nathan Sexton; six brothers; and two sisters.
Per Marlene’s request there will be no funeral services.
The family would like to thank the staff at Maryhill Manor the compassionate care they provided to Marlene.
