Cheryl (Palomaki) Moyle

LANSING — Cheryl Jean Moyle, of Williamston, Mich., passed away peacefully at Sparrow Hospital on Nov. 4, 2023, with family by her side, after a lengthy illness.

She was born on Jan. 4, 1949, in Iron Mountain to the late Edwin and Marian Palomaki.

Cheryl graduated in 1967 from Iron Mountain High School and went on to receive her teaching degree from Western Michigan University. She taught elementary education in Fowlerville until her retirement.

In 1971, she married Harry Moyle in Kalamazoo. They had two sons, Nathan and Bradley.

Cheryl was an avid sports enthusiast. She took great pride following her two son’s and grandson’s activities, and the teams coached by her sons through the years. She and her family loved following MSU games as well.

She was a wonderful mother and a kind, thoughtful person and we will miss her.

She is survived by her sons, Nathan (Jennifer) and Bradley (Elizabeth); four grandsons, Olin, Tavis, Trent and Dexter; and her ex-husband, Harry, who remained a very good friend; a brother, Bob (Mary Ann) Palomaki; and a sister, Joanne (Clark) Reid; nieces, Emily (Greg) Lundberg, Courtney (Joe) LeMire, Sadie Palomaki; nephews, Nelson Palomaki (Devin) Jeremy (Janine) Pryor, Evan Reid and Elliott Reid.

Services and burial will be in Williamston.
