Rose Marie Pedo

Rose was born Aug. 26, 1931, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Augusto and Lucia (Bevilaqua) Priante. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School, Class of 1949, and married Donald Pedo on Aug. 30, 1952, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Those who knew Rose will remember her for her beautiful smile, her extraordinary cooking abilities, her quick wit and her unbelievably sharp mind. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Don; her daughter, Teresa (John) Fortier of Iron Mountain; her son, Louis Pedo of Big Bend, Wis.; a son-in-law, Doug Bluekamp of Iron Mountain; four grandchildren, Dana (Mike) Cook of Mequon, Wis., Jenna (Todd) Buckley of Waterford, Wis., Kyle (Jackie) Fortier of Iron Mountain and Nathan Bluekamp of Iron Mountain; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sue Reath; brother-in-law, Jerry Pedo; and sister-in-law, Rachel Struck, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosalie Bluekamp; a brother, Joseph Priante; sisters, Alice (Dominic) Marchi, Lucy (Bill) Pataconi, Joyce (John) Chapman, Gloria (Kayo) Reese and Janet (Marvin) Santini; and two brothers-in-law, Bob Pedo and Roger Pedo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rose’s memory.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain.

Fr. Mark McQuesten will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
