Bruce Chaney Huron

Bruce was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Iron Mountain, to the late Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Huron. He grew up in Iron Mountain with a brother, Bill, and sister, Sally, and graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1949.

He married Mary Furno at Immaculate Conception Church on July 12, 1952. They cherished 68 years of marriage together.

Throughout his career, Bruce worked as a hospital administrator for Paul Oliver Hospital in Frankfort, Ontonagon Hospital, and Newberry Hospital.

Bruce is survived by his daughters, Jeanna (Tony) Sturniolo and Sarah (John) Snyder; sons, Bill (Winnie) Huron, Steve (Kamala) Huron and Jerry (Jan) Huron; and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Lisa; a brother, Bill Huron; and a sister, Sally Huron Larsen.
