Gwen Gilbert

Gwen was born March 25, 1937, in Emmett, Wis., daughter of the late Sydney and Elsie (Holoubek) Marsh. When Gwen was young, she and her family moved to the Iron Mountain area, and Gwen graduated from Kingsford High School.

As an adult, she lived in both Pewaukee and Waukesha, Wis. Gwen and her husband Roger Gilbert owned and operated Brain Child Computer Works in Pewaukee. After selling their business, Gwen worked for a computer programming company in Brookfield, Wis.

Gwen enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, traveling, taking trips to the casino, and making jewelry. She purchased stones online and created beautiful pieces.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Lynn Johnson of Niagara; one sister, Diane Wiley of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her life partner, Chuck Burcham in 2019; one son, Martin Johnson; two brothers, Fredrick and Thomas Marsh; and two sisters, Joyce Gilligan and Rosie DeClark.

Private family services will be held.

Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery in the spring.
