PEMBINE, Wis. — Marian Louise Eichinger, 91, of Pembine, died on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, from congestive heart failure at Marshfield Medical Center — Dickinson in Iron Mountain.

She was born on March 30, 1932, in Amberg, Wis., to the late Joseph Edgar and Clara (Swigart) Vankirk.

Marian was the youngest of eight children, and distinguished herself when she graduated as valedictorian of her high school class in 1950.

Marian Louise Vankirk married Frederick A. Eichinger on Jan. 17, 1951, at White Rapids Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2010.

Marian was a great lover of music and was a self-taught pianist and accordion player. She played piano and organ for many of the churches she and her family attended.

Marian is survived by her six children: a daughter, Diane Kingery; and five sons, Terry (Betty) Eichinger, Thomas (Sharlotte) Eichinger, Frederick (Denise) Eichinger Jr., Stephan (Jacqueline) Eichinger, and Timothy (Toni) Eichinger; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and her loving husband of 59 years, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Angelmeyer, Margaret Taliaferro, Barbara Kulp, Dorothy Groy and Ruth Dixon; brothers, Robert Vankirk and James Vankirk; son-in-law, Thomas Kingery; grandson, Joe Eichinger; and great-grandson, Cole Eichinger.
