Paul Cieslak

VULCAN — Paul Frank Cieslak, 79, of Vulcan, passed away on Nov. 30, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born March, 2, 1944, in Norway, the son of the late Paul and Jennie (Zychowski) Cieslak.

Paul graduated from Vulcan High School in 1962.

He served his country in the US Army in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany.

Paul married Bonnie Goudreau Pellegrini on July 26, 1997, at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan.

He retired from SGI Minerals in 2009.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and spending time at his camp with his family and his dog, Ruger.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; sister, Barbara (James) Hartwell; brother, Gerald Cieslak; four step-children, Mary (Joe) Papp, Brian (Sherri) Pellegrini, Brad (Michelle) Pellegrini, and Marc (Vickie) Pellegrini; nine grandchildren, AJ (Ayla) Papp, Amber (Sean) Papp and Alek (Mirari) Papp; Elizabeth (Uriah) Schultz and Emilee Pellegrini, Breanne (Jasen) Wolff and Kaitlyn Pellegrini, William “Billy” and Zac Pellegrini; five great grandchildren, Axell and Ace Papp (Alek/Mirari), Woodrow, Isabella, and Eva (Breanne/Jasen) Wolff.

In accordance with Paul’s wishes, there will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, at the Norway Township Cemetery, with Fr. Marty Flynn, pastor of St. Mary Church in Norway, officiating.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Holy Spirit School in Norway.
