NORWAY — Beulah “Jackie” DuCharme, 88, of Norway, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.
She was born July 18, 1935, in Norway, daughter of the late Carl and Eunice (Hammill) Anderson. She was one of eight children.
Beulah lived most of her life in the local area. She had a lifetime career as a nurse, working in many of the local nursing homes, finally retiring after working many years for the Hayes Clinic in Norway.
Beulah married Gerald Milton Price and together they had three sons: Scott, Bryan and Gary. After Gerald’s death in a traffic accident, Beulah married Eugene DuCharme in 1963 and had two children: Eugene and Michael.
In her retirement, Beulah enjoyed painting, knitting and reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Beulah is survived by three sons, Bryan (Peggy) Price, Gary (Nancy) Price and Eugene (Shawn) DuCharme; a special daughter, Lea (Todd) Varda; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to Gerald, Eugene, and her parents, Beulah was preceded in death by her eight siblings; two sons, Scott Price and Michael DuCharme; and one grandson, Cameron Price.
Family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ortman Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Michael Langlais, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Norway, officiating.
Interment will be held at the Norway Township Cemetery.
