John “JP” Paige

OCONTO FALLS, Wis. — John “JP” Paige, 33, Oconto Falls, died suddenly Sunday morning, Jan. 21, 2024, at home.

He was born Jan. 8, 1991 at Landstuhl Army Hospital in Germany. Because of his mother’s career in the U.S. Air Force, John moved back to the U.S. at the age of two years to Shaw AFB in South Carolina. He also lived at Air Force bases in Colorado Springs, Colo., Seymour Johnson AFB in North Carolina and Dover AFB in Delaware.

“JP” then moved with his family to Crystal Falls and graduated from Forest Park High School with the Class of 2010.

John was employed at Grede Foundries in Kingsford, managed fast food restaurants and was a welder at Marinette Marine. He then moved to Walton Beach, Fla., where he worked at the Crab Trap. John returned to Wisconsin and was currently employed at ST Paper in Oconto Falls.

As someone who liked to cook, he enjoyed food and being the life of the party. “JP” will be fondly remembered for his free spirit, kind heart, making others laugh and his willingness to help others.

Survivors are his mother, Donelle (Kevin) Lefebvre of Oconto Falls; his son, Alaric Wesson Paige; four siblings, CJ (Austen) Greene of Florida, Billy Paige of Oconto Falls, Samantha (Brad) Zima of Green Bay, Wis., and Ben Paige of Michigan; his nieces and nephews, of whom he was so fond, Audrina, Carter and Gunner Greene; River Zima.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dolores McMullen; and special uncle, Jeff Craig.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls.
